Job description

Cover People are working with a forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school in Stockport to appoint a dedicated and creative Design and Technology Teacher. This is a full-time position starting in September 2025, suitable for experienced teachers or confident ECTs with a passion for practical, engaging learning.

About the Role:

  • Deliver Design and Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Specialisms welcomed across Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, or Food Technology.
  • Plan and teach high-quality lessons that promote creativity, technical knowledge, and real-world problem solving.
  • Maintain high standards of safety and organisation in practical lessons and workshop settings.
  • Monitor student progress and contribute to curriculum development within a supportive department.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent overseas teaching qualification.
  • Have a degree in a relevant Design or Technology-related subject.
  • Be confident delivering engaging and hands-on practical lessons.
  • Be well-organised, proactive and passionate about inspiring students to think creatively and technically.
