Job description

Veritas Education is seeking a passionate and innovative Design Technology Teacher for a thriving secondary school in Wakefield. The successful candidate will teach KS3 and KS4 students in a well-equipped department, delivering engaging lessons in subjects such as Resistant Materials, Product Design, and Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and inspire students across various design technology topics

  • Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons

  • Ensure a safe and productive learning environment

  • Provide constructive feedback and support student development

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Degree or qualification in Design Technology or a related field

  • Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is a plus)

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • Passionate about fostering creativity and problem-solving
