AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead design management activities for our Epsom and South East projects. You will coordinate design work, manage interfaces, and support buildability, safety, and quality within the programme and budget.

The role offers exposure to water, nuclear, defence and energy sectors. You will collaborate with project managers, discipline leads and clients to deliver integrated design solutions, mentor junior staff, and promote best practices in

Qualifications

• Experience leading design work packages on infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary interfaces and design risk.
• Ability to travel to client offices and project sites across the UK.
• Experience with NEC3/NEC4 contracts is desirable.
• Proven ability to collaborate with clients and delivery teams.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate delivery of defined design work packages and multidisciplinary projects from inception to completion.
• Contribute to the Design Management Plan and align with the Project Execution Plan.
• Support confirmation of design requirements, scope, interfaces and milestones.
• Develop and coordinate Basis of Design and multidisciplinary deliverables.
• Apply QA/QC processes to ensure compliance with standards and client requirements.
• Identify and monitor risks, escalate complex matters as needed.
• Monitor progress, resource demand and expenditure; inform Project Manager decisions.
• Manage scope change and potential impacts under NEC contracts.
• Coordinate input to BIM Execution Plan and data environment; support construction-stage delivery.
• Mentor junior colleagues and promote continuous improvement.
