Job summary

Willmott Dixon is seeking a Design Manager to lead the design process for projects across the North West, based from our Oldham/Manchester area. You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, drive design programmes, and deliver cost-effective technical solutions across Education, Leisure, Transport, Blue Light, Commercial and Residential sectors.

Hybrid working is offered with on-site involvement. You will coordinate consultants, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements

Qualifications

Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary design teams.
Experience developing and managing design programmes.
Knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements relevant to construction design.
Ability to produce cost-effective and innovative technical solutions.

Responsibilities

Lead the design process to produce information meeting specifications and cost plans.
Oversee appointments and performance of consultants within scope of services.
Develop design programmes with consultants to meet milestones.
Deliver cost-effective, innovative technical solutions.
Chair design team meetings and drive action plans to completion.
Ensure designs meet regulatory approvals with robust progress tracking.
