Job summary

Willmott Dixon is seeking a Senior Design Manager to lead the design process on projects across Education, Leisure, Transport, Blue Light, Commercial and Residential. Based in Morley with a hybrid working model, you'll coordinate multidisciplinary teams and deliver design outputs aligned with budgets.

You will manage consultants, develop design programmes, chair design team meetings, and drive action plans to completion while ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and coordination across disciplines.
• Experience developing and managing design programmes.
• Knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements for construction design.
• Ability to produce cost-effective and creative technical solutions.
• Preconstruction experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Leading the design process to produce accurate information meeting specifications and cost plans.
• Managing the appointment and performance of consultants.
• Developing a design programme with consultants to meet milestones.
• Delivering cost-effective, innovative technical solutions.
• Chairs design team meetings and drives action plans to completion.
• Ensuring designs meet all statutory and regulatory approvals and maintain project pipelines.
