Job summary

Willmott Dixon in the Northwest is seeking a dynamic Preconstruction Project Manager to lead bid activity in a hybrid role based around Oldham and Manchester. You will coordinate internal estimators, designers and external consultants to drive two-stage/negotiated tenders from £10m to £100m across Education, Leisure, Health and other sectors.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing diverse technical input and leading the bid process.
• Construction technical background in operations, planning, commercial, design or estimating is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Motivating and leading a bid team that includes estimators, design professionals, MEP professionals and planners, plus external supply chain resources.
• Developing the commercial strategy with your team.
• Managing customers’ expectations through health checks and maintaining good relations.
• Developing and incorporating project strategies to meet sustainability objectives.
• Monitoring progress, managing risks and opportunities, and initiating corrective actions as required.
• Maintaining continuous professional development to ensure technical awareness and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensuring a seamless transition from preconstruction to operations and coordinating inception workshops with customers.
