Job summary

Willmott Dixon in Morley is seeking a Senior Design Manager to lead the design process on major projects with a hybrid work pattern between the Morley office, home, and sites. You will own design programmes, manage consultant appointments, and deliver innovative technical solutions across Education, Leisure, Transport, Blue Light, Commercial and Residential sectors.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and communication skills with multi-disciplinary oversight.
• Experience in developing and managing design programmes.
• Knowledge of statutory/regulatory requirements for construction design.
• Ability to produce cost-effective technical design solutions.
• Preconstruction experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process for projects £10m–£100m across sectors.
• Oversee consultants’ appointments and performance.
• Develop design programmes with consultants to meet milestones.
• Deliver innovative, cost-effective technical solutions.
• Chair design team meetings and drive actions to completion.
• Ensure designs meet regulatory approvals and documentation.
