Mitchell Maguire Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a Design Manager for Architectural Metalwork in Chatham. You will produce GA drawings and 3D models from engineers' designs, liaise with clients, contractors, architects and engineers, and ensure on-site buildability.

The role requires 2D/3D CAD experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team on projects from £10k to £10m.

Competenze

• Must have 2D and 3D CAD experience.

The role of the Design Manager - Architectural Metalwork will involve:

• Design Manager position dealing with a range of steel fabrication and steelwork such as: secondary steelwork, specialist steelwork, staircases, balconies and balustrades.
• Producing general arrangement drawings (GA's) and 3D models from engineer's designs.
• Liaising with clients, contractors, architects and Engineers in order to obtain any required information.
• Detailing both fabrication and prep drawings.
• Work closely with production team and design engineers to ensure drawings are suitable for on-site buildability and fabrication.
• Working on projects varying in value from £10k to £10m.

The ideal applicant will be Design Manager - Architectural Metalwork with:

• Must have 2D and 3D CAD experience.
• Ideally have fabrication design experience and/or experience dealing with steelwork, metalwork, balconies, architectural metal, staircases, balustrades, handrails etc.
• Capable of liaising with internal departments and customers.
• IT literate (Microsoft office).
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
