Job summary

Mitchell Maguire are representing a Design Manager – Architectural Metalwork based in Chatham. The role focuses on producing GA drawings and 3D models from engineers' designs, detailing fabrication and prep drawings, and liaising with clients, contractors and architects to gather information.

You will work closely with production and design engineers to ensure drawings are suitable for on-site buildability, tackling projects from £10k to £10m in value.

Qualifications

• 2D and 3D CAD experience required.
• Fabrication design experience preferred (steelwork, balconies, balustrades).
• Capable of liaising with internal departments and clients.
• IT literate (Microsoft Office).
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce GA drawings and 3D models from engineers' designs.
• Detail fabrication and prep drawings for fabrication teams.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, architects and engineers to obtain information.
• Coordinate with production and design engineers to ensure on-site buildability.
• Work on projects from £10k to £10m, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
