Job summary

O in South Wales is recruiting an experienced Design Manager for a £90m construction scheme. You will lead the design process, coordinate consultants and subcontractors, and ensure design deliverables align with the programme from pre-construction to completion.

You will chair design team meetings, drive buildability and value engineering, and collaborate with site, commercial and planning teams to deliver a successful landmark project.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Design Manager with a main contractor.
• Proven track record delivering large construction projects (£50m+ desirable).
• Strong technical understanding of construction methodologies.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Experience managing consultant teams and design programmes.
• Relevant construction qualification.

The Role

As Design Manager, you'll lead and coordinate the design process, ensuring information is produced, reviewed and issued in line with programme requirements.
