O'Neill & Brennan is seeking an experienced Design Manager to join a major £90m construction project in South Wales. You will take ownership of the design process from pre-construction through to completion, working with a high-calibre project team to deliver buildable, commercially effective design solutions.

In this role you will coordinate consultants and subcontractors, chair design meetings, and drive value engineering while keeping programme requirements at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Design Manager with a main contractor
• Proven ability to coordinate design information across consultants and subcontractors
• Experience delivering large construction projects (£50m+ desirable) and managing design programmes
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with diverse teams

A leading and highly reputable main contractor is about to commence a prestigious £90 million construction scheme in South Wales, creating an excellent opportunity for an experienced Design Manager to join the project from the outset.

This is a rare chance to take ownership of the design process on a flagship development, working alongside a highly experienced project team and ensuring successful coordination from pre-construction through to completion.

The Role

As Design Manager, you’ll lead and coordinate the design process, ensuring information is produced, reviewed and issued in line with programme requirements. You’ll work closely with consultants, subcontractors, clients and the operational team to deliver practical, buildable and commercially effective design solutions.
