Job summary

Intro Group in Manchester is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead the design process for 1-2 live projects from pre-construction through to completion on Manchester's fast-moving North West portfolio.

Reporting to the Regional Director, you will coordinate consultants, subcontractors and internal teams, drive design programmes, manage risks and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Design Manager with a main contractor.
• Strong technical understanding of construction methods and building regulations.
• Experience coordinating and managing multiple stakeholders and design consultants.
• Able to oversee 1-2 projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

• Manage the design process from pre-construction through to project completion.
• Coordinate architects, consultants, subcontractors and client design teams.
• Review and manage design information, technical submissions and RFIs.
• Ensure design programmes align with construction programmes.

An established main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Design Manager to join their Northern team based in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business with a strong pipeline of major construction projects. You'll oversee the design process on 1-2 live projects at a time, ensuring design is coordinated, programme-driven and delivered to the highest standard from pre-construction through to completion.

The Role

Reporting to the Regional Director, you will be responsible for leading and managing the design process, coordinating consultants, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and fully compliant.

You will play a key role in driving design programmes, managing technical queries, mitigating design risks and ensuring seamless communication between all project stakeholders.
