Mott MacDonald Bentley invites a Design Lead to drive multi-disciplinary design on UK water projects. You will lead a team of electrical, mechanical, civil, and process designers, delivering affordable, low-carbon solutions and maintaining strong client relationships to ensure project success.

Based in County Durham with UK-wide scope, the role offers chartership development, structured mentorship, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree and chartered or incorporated membership.
• Experience in outline and detailed design for water or wastewater projects and knowledge of Designer/Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015.
• Strong technical knowledge with appreciation of other disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary design delivery for projects/programmes.
• Develop and lead a team of electrical, mechanical, civil, and process designers.
• Advance affordable and low-carbon solutions, managing opportunities and risks.
• Deliver detailed designs to meet construction needs and client acceptance, controlling cost and schedule.
• Challenge engineering solutions to ensure best value for the client.
• Provide direction and oversight of project controls and ensure quality, programme and cost compliance.
• Maintain positive client relationships at project level.
