Job summary

Tesco is seeking an exceptional Design Lead to shape the design strategy for the Customer Experience Horizontal (CXH) within Online Shopping. You will define the moments customers interact with—from the digital front door and homepage to search—across Grocery Home Delivery, Whoosh, F&F Clothing, and Marketplace.

You’ll work with Product, Engineering, Research, Content Design and the Design System team to establish UX principles, interaction patterns and standards that scale, while balancing

Qualifications

• Leading UX design strategy across web and mobile platforms.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate with diverse teams.
• Experience mapping and optimizing end-to-end customer journeys.
• Strong understanding of design systems and reusable UI components.
• Hands-on design execution while guiding strategy.
• Excellent communication and storytelling to align across leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver the UX strategy for the CXH across app and web platforms.
• Own the design vision for shared customer journeys spanning multiple propositions.
• Shape information architecture, navigation, search and cross-platform experiences.
• Define and champion high-level UX principles and patterns.
• Collaborate with the Design System team to ensure consistency with reusable components.
• Create and evolve documentation, playbooks and best practices.
