Job summary

Mabey Hire is seeking a Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Dewsbury. You will produce temporary works designs for excavation support, propping, formwork and falsework, reporting to a Design Team Leader.

The role suits engineers with a few years post-graduate experience in structures or geotechnical design and a good understanding of temporary works, including AutoCAD 2D and REVIT; BS5975:2019 knowledge is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Engineer with post-graduate experience in structures or geotechnical design.
• Experience designing temporary works for groundworks or refurbishment.
• Familiar with BS5975:2019 and CDM 2015.

Responsibilities

• Design temporary works for groundworks and refurbishment propping.
• Prepare designs and check drawings to BS5975:2019.
• Attend client meetings and site visits.
• Collaborate with sales and operations to support customers.
