Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a Design Engineer (Specialist Training) in Blackburn. The role offers a permanent contract with £36,000 salary (flexible depending on experience) plus a structured training programme, technical development, career progression and 32 days holiday.

You will design specialist assemblies, produce manufacturing data, create CNC cutting programmes, and maintain BOM/ERP data while supporting warranty investigations and cost/quality improvements.

Design Engineer (Specialist Training)

Commutable from: Blackburn , Preston, Burnley, Accrington, Darwen, Chorley, Bolton, Clitheroe, Rochdale, and surrounding areas

Are you a Design Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer, CAD Engineer or similar looking for a fast paced environment where you will develop your skills in a specialist industry, with a structured training programme to help you become a technical expert and progress your career?

On offer is a permanent position with an established manufacturer of specialist market-leading products, where you’ll work closely with design, operations, and specialist technicians to deliver fast turnaround designs and manufacturing data.

As a result of significant business growth and a strong order book through to 2028 and beyond, they are now looking to add to their design capability to support continued success and product development.

In this role you will design specialist assemblies, produce manufacturing data, create CNC cutting programmes, and integrate systems. You’ll also maintain BOM/ERP data, support warranty/quality investigations, and contribute to standardisation and cost/quality improvement initiatives.

This role would suit a Design Engineer with 3D CAD experience, looking to take on more responsibility, broaden their technical exposure, and develop long‑term within a growing engineering business.

The Role:

• Creating 3D designs in a fast paced manufacturing environment
• Create CNC cutting programmes and maintain BOM/ERP information
• Site based in Blackburn, 7:00-16:30 (Fri 7:00-11:00)

The Person:

• Engineering background with 3D CAD design experience
• HND or Degree in an Engineering subject
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with short turnaround times
