Job summary

Euro Projects Recruitment Ltd. is recruiting for a Design Engineer role in the Mansfield area, offering £28k–£33k plus benefits and an Early Finish Friday. You will gain hands-on experience with 3D CAD, 2D drawings and take projects from concept through to production.

The position suits graduates or junior engineers with CAD exposure and a mechanical engineering qualification, with comprehensive training and mentorship to build a career in design engineering.

Qualifications

• A relevant engineering qualification such as an Apprenticeship, HNC, HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Some previous experience or exposure to 3D CAD design.
• Working knowledge of CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar.
• Understanding of mechanical engineering principles and technical drawings.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of an engineering team.
• A proactive approach and a genuine desire to learn, develop and build a career in design engineering.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the design and development of new products, components and engineering solutions.
• Creating detailed 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
• Supporting the design process from initial concept through to production.
• Working with experienced Design Engineers to develop your technical and engineering knowledge.
• Supporting engineering projects through technical documentation, data management and engineering records.
• Working closely with manufacturing, quality and other engineering teams to ensure designs meet technical, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Participating in design reviews and contributing ideas for product and process improvements.

Design Engineer / Mechanical Design Engineer - £28,000 - £33,000 + Benefits + Early Finish Friday

Are you a Design Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer, CAD Design Engineer or Graduate Engineer looking for an opportunity where you can develop your design skills, gain hands-on engineering experience and work alongside experienced Design Engineers?

The Design Engineer Role

As a Design Engineer, you will join an established engineering team and work closely with experienced Design Engineers, developing your technical skills across the full product design and engineering lifecycle.

You will gain exposure to 3D CAD design, 2D engineering drawings, product development, design documentation and manufacturing, while contributing to genuine engineering projects rather than simply producing CAD drawings.

This role would suit a Graduate Design Engineer, Junior Design Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer or CAD Engineer looking to take the next step in your career within a supportive and technically strong engineering environment.

You will receive comprehensive training and ongoing mentorship, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who is keen to build a long-term career in mechanical design engineering.

Key Responsibilities

As a Design Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

We are looking for a Design Engineer, Graduate Engineer, Junior Design Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer or CAD Design Engineer who is keen to develop their engineering career.

You should have:

• A relevant engineering qualification such as an Apprenticeship, HNC, HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering or a related discipline.
• Some previous experience or exposure to 3D CAD design.
• Working knowledge of CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar.
• An understanding of mechanical engineering principles and technical drawings.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of an engineering team.
• A proactive approach and a genuine desire to learn, develop and build a career in design engineering.

You do not need to be an experienced Design Engineer. Graduate and junior-level candidates with the right engineering qualifications, CAD knowledge and attitude will be considered, with full training and mentorship provided.
