Job summary

Triumph Motorcycles in Hinckley is seeking a dynamic Temporary Industrial Placement - Design Engineer to join our design team. This year-long placement offers hands-on experience across 3D CAD design, technical drawing, and testing within a thriving engineering environment.

As part of the placement, you will collaborate with Purchasing, Quality, Assembly and Manufacturing, and develop communication and collaboration skills while under the guidance of Chartered mentors.

Qualifications

• Studying for an IMechE-accredited engineering degree that meets the academic requirements for Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
• Able to work on-site in Hinckley 5 days per week.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office packages.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test a broad range of skills, including 3D CAD design, technical drawing creation, and potentially development testing and computer simulation activities such as FEA.
• Work closely with external suppliers and internal departments, including Purchasing, Quality, Assembly, and Manufacturing, developing key industry communication and collaboration skills.
