Job summary

Raymarine, part of Teledyne Technologies, is seeking a Design Engineer to develop robust, manufacturable products from concept through production. You will design, prototype and test components within a cross-functional team, influencing performance, reliability and cost.

The role emphasizes hands-on product development, problem-solving and bringing innovative marine electronics to life, with travel to suppliers and customers as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in product design, mechanical design engineering or related field.
• Experience in mechanical design, preferably in high-volume manufacturing.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks for 3D modelling and manufacturing drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical components and sub-systems throughout the full product development life cycle.
• Create robust mechanical designs and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
• Plan and manage design activities to meet timescales and budget constraints.
• Work with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, supply chain and compliance.
