Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated in Fareham, UK, is seeking a PCB Designer to join the Raymarine electronics team. You will design complete PCBs from schematic to manufacture using Altium, handling Highspeed, RF and HDI boards in a fast-moving marine environment.

You'll collaborate with mechanical and test teams, visiting manufacturers and contributing to DFM, EMC and vibration testing, with in-office presence required at least four days a week.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Altium Designer 20+ preferable but not essential.
• Be highly skilled in HDI PCB design.
• A good background in electronics and mechanical engineering.
• Experience in ‘Design for Manufacture’ and have visited PCB and Assembly Manufacturers.
• Experience in EMC, ICT, and vibration testing.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Willing to work with the team in the office at least 4 days a week.
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
• Live within easy commuting distance

Responsibilities

• Complete PCB design process from receipt of the Schematic through to manufacture and assembly.
• Create new schematic symbols, PCB footprints and 3D models using Altium.
• Design complex multilayer PCBs with High speed, High Power, Impedance Control, RF and Flexi.
• Liaise with mechanical designers to ensure interface between Altium and SolidWorks.
• Communicate with PCB manufacturers and assemblers to achieve best practices.
• Support the Team Leader and other PCB designers.
• Work with Project Manager, Hardware, Mechanical and Test teams.
• Undertake mandatory training and comply with Raymarine policies.
