Job summary
Niftylift Ltd is seeking a Design Engineer to develop jigs and fixtures and advance process development at our Hoyland/Barnsley manufacturing facility. You will lead design & manufacture, support production, and work with Design Engineers to improve fit and automation.
The role requires mechanical engineering expertise, CREO CAD experience, and a hands-on background in automated and manual manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
- Degree in mechanical engineering (HND may be considered).
- 3D and 2D CAD experience (CREO or equivalent).
- Design bias with jig and fixture development and control.
- Experience of automated, semi-automated and manual manufacturing processes.
- Pressing and cold forming experience.
- CNC machining (milling & lathe), EDM, grinding, automated welding, fabrication.
Responsibilities
- Attend stakeholder meetings for production areas and complete actions on time.
- Lead and facilitate the design, manufacture and implementation of new jigs and fixtures.
- Liaise with Design/Project Engineers to drive design controls and improvements.
- Create and maintain BOMs and user manuals for jig/fixture designs.
