Job summary

Engineering Design & Supplies Ltd in Leicestershire is seeking a Mechanical Design and Development Engineer to join a small but expanding team. You will design moving and lifting equipment, fixtures and tooling using SolidWorks and manage projects from concept to prototype trials.

The role requires collaborating with customers and suppliers, coordinating with engineers and technicians, and handling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant engineering design experience.
• SolidWorks knowledge or equivalent CAD expertise.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Design parts and assemblies for lifting, moving, fixtures and tooling projects using SolidWorks.
• Design associated components for manufacture in SolidWorks.
• Develop specifications with customers and their requirements.
• Create detailed drawings with data for manufacture.
• Quote for design and manufacture of solutions.
• Deliver completed projects that meet customer requirements and timescales.
• Manage project-related risks and timeline constraints.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers, manufacturing, purchasing and engineers.
• Adhere to safety and quality processes of the company and partners.
