Outsource is seeking a Design Engineer for a 12-month role based on site in Desford. The position focuses on designing and developing ground engaging equipment, including buckets and forks, with responsibilities across design, fit-up, test, and validation to meet reliability targets.

The role requires 2–4 years of design experience and CAD proficiency in Creo/Pro-E, plus experience in designing structural fabrications and components.

Hourly Rate: £26.47 PAYE or £34.76 Umbrella

Duration: 12 months

Working arrangements: Fully site based

About the Role:

• Supporting team development of ground engaging equipment (buckets, forks and other material handling devices)
• Support NPI programs to introduce a new solution to the marketplace
• Design, fit-up, test and tune new solutions
• Develop and execute a validation plan to introduce a product that achieves reliability targets.

Key Skills:

• 2 - 4 years previous design experience
• 2 - 4 years Creo, Pro-E or equivalent CAD system experience
• 2 - 4 years' experience of designing structural fabrications and components
