Job summary

PE Global is recruiting a Design Engineer for a leading multinational industrial manufacturer based in Desford, Leicestershire. The role is a 12-month contract with responsibilities spanning modeling, design, and validation of ground engaging equipment.

The successful candidate will have 5–10 years' engineering experience, strong CREO/Pro-E skills, and exposure to PLM/Teamcenter; heavy machinery knowledge is desirable. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Design and development using CREO / Pro-E.
• Mechanical engineering background.
• Experience with PLM / Teamcenter.
• Knowledge of heavy machinery and equipment.
• Experience with testing and validation activities.

Responsibilities

• Modeling, detailing, and simulation in Creo.
• Design, fit-up, test and tune new solutions.
• Support ground engaging equipment development (buckets, forks, etc.).
• Assist NPI programs to introduce new solutions to the marketplace.
• Develop and execute validation plans to meet reliability targets.
• Collaborate across functions from concept to production using NPI processes.
• Release new designs and manage production changes in Teamcenter UA.

PE Global is currently recruiting for a Design Engineer for a leading multi-national industrial manufacturer based in Desford, Leicstershire. This is an initial 12 month contract.

Duties of the role/Responsibilities

• Modeling, Detailing, Simulation in Creo (ProE)
• Design, fit-up, test and tune new solutions
• Will be supporting team development of ground engaging equipment (buckets, forks and other material handling devices)
• Support NPI programs to introduce a new solution to the marketplace
• Develop and execute a validation plan to introduce a product that achieves reliability targets.
• Utilize NPI and accelerated NPI processes to support a cross functional team from concept to production (GW1 – GW7) working with process partners to create and on occasion present materials.
• Releasing new designs and current production changes (CPI issue resolution) in Teamcenter UA

Education/Experience

• Approximately 5-10 years relevant engineering experience preferred.
• Product design and development using CREO / Pro-E)
• Mechanical engineering background
• PLM / Teamcenter experience and product development processes
• Heavy machinery and equipment knowledge desireable
• Testing and validation activities
