Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Design Draughtsperson in Worksop to design material handling equipment and related structural steel. Training will be provided on Tekla or Advance Steel, enabling you to take concepts from site surveys through to detailed manufacturing drawings.

You will work with the engineering team on bespoke designs, traveling across the UK for surveys and data collection, delivering GA drawings and 3D models for manufacturing plants.

Qualifications

• Experience in the material handling industry
• Background in design

Responsibilities

• Develop bespoke design solutions for material handling and structural steel projects with the engineering team
• Attend customer sites across the UK to perform surveys and gather information for designs
• Produce General Arrangement drawings and detailed manufacturing/fabrication drawings
• Design and detail conveyors, chutes, hoppers, silos, tanks, ductwork and material handling equipment
• Produce drawings for primary and secondary structural steelwork, including staircases and access platforms
• Create 3D layouts and models of manufacturing plants and material handling systems
