Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking an experienced Design Draughtsperson for material handling equipment in Worksop. The role involves taking designs from site surveys through to detailed manufacturing drawings, with opportunities for Tekla or Advance Steel training.

You will work closely with the engineering team on bespoke conveyors, chutes, hoppers, silos and related systems. UK site visits and detailed fabrication drawings form part of the duties.

Qualifications

• Experience in the material handling industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop bespoke design solutions for material handling and structural steelwork projects.
• Attend customer sites across the UK to survey and gather information for engineering designs.
• Produce General Arrangement drawings and detailed manufacturing/fabrication drawings.
• Design and detail conveyors, chutes, hoppers, silos, tanks, ductwork and material handling equipment.
• Produce drawings for primary and secondary structural steelwork, including staircases, platforms and access steelwork.
• Create 3D layouts and models of manufacturing plants and material handling systems.

Are you an experienced Design Engineer or Design Draughtsperson, with a background in material handling equipment, looking for an exciting opportunity within an established manufacturer that could train you on Tekla or Advance Steel software?

Do you have experience taking designs from initial site surveys and general arrangements through to detailed manufacturing drawings?

Established for over 30 years, this successful engineering business specialises in the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke material handling and structural steel solutions for a wide range of industrial applications.

Working across projects involving conveyors, chutes, hoppers, silos, ductwork and structural steelwork, the company has built a strong reputation for delivering practical, high-quality engineering solutions tailored to its customers' requirements.

The role would suit someone with material handling equipment design experience who looking for the opportunity to be trained on Tekla or Advance Steel within a well established engineering business.

The Role
