Salary: $160,000 / £110,000 plus benefits (health, retirement, bonus structure)

The Role:

We’re looking for a Design Director who can lead, inspire, and elevate a world-class design function. Someone who gets energy from solving complex business problems through elegant design. This team will own all design across the business—including product UX and UI, web, brand, marketing, and social. You'll be responsible for building a coherent, high-impact design function that drives business outcomes and delights users.

Requirements:

• Own the strategic vision for design across all touchpoints—from product and UX to web, brand, and marketing.
• Lead and grow a multidisciplinary team of UX and UI designers
• Champion design as a business tool—bringing evidence, insight, and creativity to the table.
• Get hands-on with design work. Sketch, prototype, test, refine. Stay close to the craft.
• Confidently present ideas and challenge thinking at the highest levels of the company.
• Operate confidently in a fast-moving, ever-evolving environment where priorities can shift quickly.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to embed design into everything we do.
• Drive user research and usability testing to uncover real customer insights.
• Establish and evolve scalable design systems that power fast, high-quality execution and align with our company brand.
• Advocate for design quality and coherence across all visual and experiential touchpoints.

Responsibilities:

• 10+ years of experience in UX or product design, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional user experiences.
• 3+ years experience at leadership level
• A collaborative mindset with the confidence to speak up, debate ideas, and make tough calls.
• A portfolio that blends strategic impact with hands-on design excellence.
• Experience leading, mentoring, and scaling high-performing design teams.
• Strong systems thinking and product sensibility—you know what good looks like and how to get there.
• Extensive experience in Figma and other modern design and prototyping tools.
• Excellent storytelling skills—you can make complex things simple and rally others around your vision.
• A passion for understanding users and solving real problems.
