Job summary

STADA UK Thornton & Ross offers a 12-month Packaging Placement in Huddersfield/Linthwaite, commencing July 2027. You will join the Packaging Development team, gain hands-on experience across the packaging lifecycle, and contribute to derma cosmetics and home hygiene products.

The role targets a 2nd year BSc/BA student seeking industry placement, with opportunities to impact packaging strategies, processes and tools within a growing R&D setting.

Qualifications

• Currently studying a degree in Packaging, Engineering, Materials Science, Product Design or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Help develop and deliver real packaging solutions for derma cosmetics and household products that reach consumers.
• Get hands-on with packaging trials, testing and validation – from searching for innovative packaging solutions, compatibility and transit tests to sustainability assessments.
• Own technical tasks: creating and maintaining specifications, drawings, test reports and supplier data.
• Play a key role in sustainability for new product development, contributing to greener packaging choices.
• Shape how the team works by improving processes and helping build new tools, templates and ways of working.
• Enjoy real responsibility, strong practical involvement and visible impact in a team that genuinely listens to your ideas.
