This is a very exciting opportunity for a Deputy Ward Manager to join the team on this busy 23 bedded Elective Joint Replacement Unit and Orthopaedic ward.
We are looking for a dynamic , highly motivated and enthusiastic person tojoin our Multi-disciplinary team. Providing high quality nursing care within this busy ward.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, team working skills and dedicated to improving the patients experience.
You will need to demonstrate continuing professional development and astrong commitment to develop others and work closely within a Multidisciplinary team.
Applicants must be able to evidence or demonstrateexperience of working as a Band 5 or previous experience as a Band 6 within Trauma and Orthopaedics and complex wound management or wound clinic experience.
You be required to demonstrate significant Band 5 experience/Leadership experience. We are looking for individuals with leadership potential with effective communication skills and able to demonstrate a proactive, collaborative and innovative approach to the clinical environment and passionate about excellence in patient care.
We are looking for an individual with experience of safe management of complex discharges and the ability to manage automously a post surgery wound management clinic which involves clinical assessment of post surgical wounds.
Informal visits are encouraged.

Job responsibilities
You will support the ward manager to lead, provide and supervise a very high standard of compassionate care to our patients. You will be supporting the safety and quality agenda of patient care and staff management , ensuring that the values and objectives of the Trust are met, whilst improving patient outcomes.
You will support the journey of the patient from admission to discharge, identify risk and formulate actions to reduce this risk and ensure patient throughput is effective.
You will display excellent leadership and effective communication skills and able to demonstrate a proactive, collaborative and innovative approach to the clinical environment and passionate about excellence in patient care.
