Job summary

Supply Hive Wales is recruiting a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner in Cardiff (Butetown) to join a supportive team in a Flying Start setting. This role is term-time only with 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, offering a pay range of £10.85–£12.71 per hour and opportunities for ongoing training.

The ideal candidate will hold Level 3 CCLD in Childcare & Development, have enthusiasm for early years education and be a collaborative team player dedicated to safeguarding and children's wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Level 3 CCLD in Childcare & Development (essential).
• Nursery or early years experience (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing through fun and engaging activities.
• Acting as a keyworker, supporting a designated group of children and maintaining their learning journeys.
• Planning and delivering age-appropriate activities, adapting these to meet individual needs.
• Observing and recording children's progress and sharing updates with parents and carers.
• Building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Maintaining a safe, welcoming and stimulating nursery environment.
• Following safeguarding, health and safety procedures at all times.

• Have a good understanding of safeguarding and children's wellbeing.
