Job summary

Avanti House Secondary School in Stanmore is seeking a Deputy Premises Manager to help run a safe, well-maintained environment for pupils and staff. You will work with the Site Manager to oversee day-to-day maintenance, coordinate premises teams and external contractors, and help ensure safety standards and compliance are met.

The role involves inspections, budget awareness, and responding to maintenance needs, lettings, and emergencies.

Qualifications

• Experience in a facilities management role.
• Ability to lead and supervise premises staff.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Manager in daily premises operations and maintenance.
• Supervise Premises Officers, caretaking and cleaning teams and contractors.
• Carry out regular inspections and upkeep to ensure a safe, clean learning environment.
• Aid in managing maintenance budgets and health and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with school leadership on lettings and emergencies.
