Job description

Nurse Seekers are proud to be working on behalf of a quality Afterschool and Holiday Club Childcare provider who provides wraparound care. They are looking to employ a Deputy Room Lead Nursery Nurse for their excellent settings based in the Bournemouth area. This is a unique opportunity as you will only be working split shifts, ensuring a good work/personal life balance.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Over 2 Years’ Experience in Childcare (Minimum Level 3 or equivalent in Childcare)
  • Strong leadership skills
  • A passion for early childhood education and development
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with parents, staff, and the wider community
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and health & safety standards
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead activities as directed
  • Organise and run activities that engage and inspire children
  • Support colleagues in their responsibilities as necessary
  • Keywork effectively, building and maintaining positive relationships with families, keeping tidy and accurate records, planning personalized play, and evaluating it for further play opportunities
  • Ensure the overall happiness and well-being of children
  • Remain alert to safeguarding and child protection issues, ensuring the welfare and safety of children attending the setting, following safeguarding procedures
  • Assist in school pick-ups as necessary
  • Maintain children’s wellbeing, health, and safety, promoting good practice within the setting and reporting concerns to the manager/deputy manager
  • Ensure adherence to Club policies and the Early Years Foundation Stage at all times
