Job description

Nurse Seekers are proud to be working on behalf of a quality Afterschool and Holiday Club Childcare provider who provide wraparound care. They are looking to employ a Deputy Room Lead Nursery Nurse for their excellent settings based in the Bournemouth area. This is a unique opportunity as you will only be working split shifts, offering an easy work/personal life balance.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Over 2 Years' Experience in Childcare (Minimum Level 3 or equivalent in Childcare)
  2. Strong leadership skills
  3. A passion for early childhood education and development
  4. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with parents, staff, and the wider community
  5. Knowledge of safeguarding and health & safety standards
Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead activities as directed.
  2. Organise and run activities that engage and inspire children.
  3. Support colleagues in their responsibilities as necessary.
  4. Keywork effectively, building and maintaining positive relationships with families, keeping tidy and accurate records, planning personalized play, and evaluating it for further play opportunities.
  5. Ensure the overall happiness and well-being of children.
  6. Be alert to safeguarding and child protection issues, ensuring the welfare and safety of children attending the setting, following safeguarding procedures.
  7. Assist in school pick-ups as necessary.
  8. Maintain children's wellbeing, health, and safety, promoting good practice within the setting, and report any concerns to the setting manager/deputy manager.
  9. Ensure that Club policies and the Early Years Foundation Stage are adhered to at all times.
