Sexual Health Dorset @ Bournemouth is recruiting to join our friendly team.
The role involves working across an integrated contraception and sexual health service in Bournemouth & Poole. We offer clinics and support such as Genito-Urinary Medicine/STI screening, HIV & PreP clinics, LGBTQ+ support, contraceptive clinics, Dorset Working Women’s Project, Early Medical Termination Service, and Target Outreach for young people and schools.
The service operates Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm. The post holder will work various shifts within these hours, with some flexibility. Previous NHS HCA experience and competency in venepuncture are essential.
Applications requiring current Skilled Worker sponsorship are ineligible.
Main duties include chaperoning nurses and doctors during STI screening, microscopy for diagnosing infections, assisting with coil fittings, blood collection for STI and HIV testing, and other related tasks.
You will assist in managing patients, preparing the clinical environment, and supporting clinicians in providing an integrated sexual health service across Dorset.
An Enhanced DBS check is required, which the Trust will cover. Applicants subscribed to the DBS update service can present a valid certificate.
