Job summary

Storal’s Wragby Road Nursery School by Storal in Lincoln is seeking a Deputy Manager to lead day-to-day operations and uphold high childcare standards under the EYFS framework. You will support the nursery team, drive quality learning experiences, and foster strong partnerships with families.

You’ll champion inclusive practices, guide staff development, and ensure policies and resources support excellent childcare.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Early Years Education qualification Level 3 or above or equivalent.
• Experience in a managerial role including nursery administration or similar.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework.
• Demonstrable leadership qualities (ideally within Early Years).
• Excellent communication skills with children and adults.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the nursery has the right team, culture, policies and resources to deliver high childcare standards.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement learning/teaching enhancements and stimulating environments.
• Promote inclusivity and meet the diverse needs of all children and educators.
• Lead staff training and support to maintain quality and safeguarding.

Hours: Monday - Friday, Full time 40 hour Maternity Cover

Salary: £15per hour, Salary will depend on experience and qualifications.

With 28 years of experience in early years education and an NNEB qualification, I began my journey as a Nursery Nurse and have since had the privilege of working with children of all ages—from newborns upwards.

How You’ll Spend Your Time Here

Day to day as a Deputy Manager you will be an intrinsic part of the Nurseries success ensuring the setting has the right team, culture, policies and resources to deliver the highest possible standards of childcare and early years education.

You’ll offer solutions where you identify areas for improvements whether that relates to learning and teaching techniques or, creating more stimulating experiences and environments for the children and their educators. You will embrace inclusivity to ensure the individual needs of all those within your care are achieved.

We’d love to talk to you if you have the following

• A full and relevant Early Years Education qualification Level 3 or above or equivalent
• Experience in a managerial role including nursery administration or similar
• A strong knowledge and understanding EYFS framework
• Reflecting the Storal values around responsibility, openness and working together and experienced in providing staff training and support
• Demonstrable leadership qualities (ideally within Early Years)
• Excellent communication skills with both children and adults
