Job summary

Sunshine Nursery School in Sudbury is seeking a Deputy Manager to lead the team and uphold the highest standards of childcare and Early Years education.

You’ll work alongside a supportive management team to ensure the right culture, policies and resources, with a focus on inclusivity and continuous improvement, within a warm, nurturing setting.

Salary: £15.00 per hour, full-time hours, and a welcoming environment for professional growth in a Storal-associated setting.

Qualifications

• A full and relevant Early Years Education qualification Level 3 or above or equivalent.
• Experience in a managerial role including nursery administration or similar.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework.

Responsibilities

• Lead the nursery with the right team, culture, policies and resources to deliver high standards of childcare and early years education.
• Identify areas for improvements in teaching techniques or creating more stimulating experiences and environments for children and staff.
• Embrace inclusivity to meet the individual needs of all children in your care.

You’ll have a supportive Nursery Manager, Office Manager and Early Years colleagues to help with the delivery of the Storal curriculum.

How You’ll Spend Your Time Here

Day to day as a Deputy Manager you will be an intrinsic part of the Nurseries success ensuring the setting has the right team, culture, policies and resources to deliver the highest possible standards of childcare and early years education.

You’ll offer solutions where you identify areas for improvements whether that relates to learning and teaching techniques or, creating more stimulating experiences and environments for the children and their educators. You will embrace inclusivity to ensure the individual needs of all those within your care are achieved.

We’d love to talk to you if you have the following

• A full and relevant Early Years Education qualification Level 3 or above or equivalent
• Experience in a managerial role including nursery administration or similar
• A strong knowledge and understanding EYFS framework
• Reflecting the Storal values around responsibility, openness and working together and experienced in providing staff training and support
• Demonstrable leadership qualities (ideally within Early Years)
• Excellent communication skills with both children and adults
