Hi, I'm Jo, the Nursery Manager at Wragby Road.
With 28 years of experience in early years education and an NNEB qualification, I began my journey as a Nursery Nurse and have since had the privilege of working with children of all ages—from newborns upwards.
I’m incredibly proud to lead a passionate and dedicated team who go above and beyond each day to support every child’s growth, development, and happiness.
At Wragby Road, we place great value on the relationships we build with our families. Our experienced team delivers rich and engaging activities designed to promote learning and development in a warm, nurturing environment.
From the moment you step through the door, you’ll be welcomed by a cosy, family feel where children feel safe, comfortable, and truly at home. Our outdoor area includes an exciting log cabin for enriched learning, dedicated gardens for each age group, and free‑flow access for under‑3s—ensuring that our children can explore, learn, and thrive.
We love working in partnership with our families, offering regular stay‑and‑play sessions, parent information evenings, and open communication every step of the way.
How you’ll spend your time here
You’ll be helping to provide cover for the children as and when needed. This could be for periods of holiday, sickness, or even vacancy gaps. Sometimes you'll support for a full day, or it may just be a morning or afternoon session. You’ll likely start most of your days with a fully formulated plan… That will soon get completely derailed though… Pivoting when the circumstances call for it is a regular occurrence in child care!
Creativity is key. Teaching young children allows for hands‑on arts and crafts, storytelling, exercise, and educational games. It’s important to keep things fresh and try new activities to keep attention spans engaged. Of course we work within the EYFS standards, but that doesn't stop you from engaging your creative flair and enthusiasm for learning.
