Job description

We are recruiting for a Nursery Manager at an impressive setting based in Congleton, Cheshire, offering a salary of £30,000 - £33,000 (starting salary £30,000 - £31,000) depending on experience.

The setting is part of a successful nursery chain, leading in the childcare industry, with a strong reputation for staff development and high standards of care for children.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Supporting the Manager in leading an established team of Room Leaders, Practitioners, Kitchen staff, and Apprentices
• Ensuring the safety of all children and providing rich, stimulating play experiences suitable for their age and development stage
• Ensuring compliance with legislation related to Ofsted registration, special needs, safeguarding, and health and safety, as well as adherence to company policies
• Deploying staff appropriately and collaborating closely with the Manager
• Monitoring standards and compliance within the rooms
• Coordinating tasks and responsibilities, including delegation where necessary

Experience required:

• Experience as a Senior Room Leader or Deputy Nursery Manager
• Level 3 qualification or higher
• Thorough understanding of Ofsted requirements
• Experience managing budgets
• Strong knowledge of EYFS and experience working with children and families
• Experience supervising staff with extensive safeguarding knowledge
• Experience working in partnership with parents
• Ability to lead staff meetings
• Experience managing administrative tasks
