Job description

Shiraka is working with a well-established nursery in Ascot to recruit a Deputy Nursery Manager on a full-time basis.

The nursery has a capacity of over 100 children. The Deputy Nursery Manager role is office-based, with responsibilities including managing the room and staff, and supporting the Nursery Manager. This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, with shifts scheduled per rota. The opening hours are from 08:00 to 18:00.

Deputy Nursery Manager Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience
• Previous senior or Deputy experience in a nursery setting
• Minimum Level 3 early years qualification or equivalent
• Thorough understanding of legislation including EYFS
• Empathetic, caring, and friendly nature
• Experience working with SEND
• Experience managing budgets, invoicing, and payroll

Deputy Nursery Manager Duties:

• Oversee the efficient and safe operation of the allocated Base Room
• Assist in coordinating staff rotas
• Maintain staff:child ratios at all times
• Contribute to the induction process for new and promoted staff
• Develop strong partnerships with parents, colleagues, and children
