Job description

A well-established and nurturing nursery in Roehampton (SW15) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and motivated early years professional looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and high-quality childcare setting. The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day management of the nursery, ensuring high standards of care, learning, and safeguarding are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Nursery Manager in the effective running of the nursery

  • Leading and mentoring staff to deliver outstanding early years provision

  • Ensuring a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for all children

  • Building strong relationships with children, parents, and the wider team

  • Overseeing planning, observations, and assessments in line with the EYFS framework

  • Taking responsibility for the nursery in the Manager's absence

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or equivalent)

  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a nursery setting

  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding, and child development

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and team management skills

  • Passionate about delivering high-quality early years education

  • 2+ years of Nursery experience under your belt
