Job summary

Sgscare is seeking an experienced residential childcare professional to take a Deputy Manager role in a brand-new children’s home in Wallasey. You will work alongside the Registered Manager to lead the staff team and support young people aged 7 to 17 from day one.

You will help shape daily culture and standards, participate in setting high quality care, and contribute to the service launch. This is a strategic position with input into establishing the home’s ethos.

Qualifications

• Relevant Level 3 qualification (or working towards it).
• Experience in residential childcare.

Responsibilities

• Lead the staff team to deliver high-quality care for young people.
• Support young people aged 7 to 17 on a daily basis.
• Help shape the daily culture and standards of the home from launch.

Salary:

Approx. £39,120 - £42,057.60 per annum (calculated from the hourly rate below at 160 hours/month, plus sleep-in payments — see breakdown after the advert)

Hourly Rate:

£16.25 - £17.78 per hour

Sleep-ins:

£60 per night (where applicable)

Relevant Level 3 qualification (or working towards it), with a willingness to work towards Level 5
