Job summary

Sgscare is hiring a Deputy Manager for a children’s residential home in North Manchester. The role involves rota-based working, including 24/7 shifts and sleeps, to support young people with EBD, trauma, neglect, CSE, and CCE. Salary £34,000 - £39,000 DOE & qualifications.

Permanent contract. Requires Level 3 Child & Young People’s Workforce Diploma with social care pathway or Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare and relevant experience in Ofsted-registered homes.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Ofsted-registered childrens homes experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise care staff to ensure high-quality, safe care in Ofsted-registered homes.
• Ensure safeguarding and regulatory compliance across shifts, including sleeps.
• Support young people with Emotional & Behavioral Difficulties (EBD) and trauma in a nurturing, structured environment.
