Zachary Daniels is hiring a Deputy/Assistant Store Manager for Stansted Airport. This role focuses on supporting the Store Manager to drive commercial performance, develop staff, and deliver exceptional customer experiences in a fast-paced airport retail environment.

The schedule offers a 3–4 day week with consecutive days off and every other weekend off, promoting a balanced work-life pattern while contributing to strong KPIs and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Deputy Manager, Assistant Store Manager, Department Manager or an established Retail Supervisor.
• Background in a fast-paced retail or customer-focused sales environment.
• Strong understanding of sales targets, KPIs and commercial performance.
• Experience leading, coaching and developing teams.
• Excellent communication skills and hands-on leadership style.
• Flexibility to work shifts between 10am and 10pm.
• Airport retail experience isn’t essential; open to retail managers from various sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and motivate the team to meet sales targets and KPIs.
• Support the Store Manager with day-to-day running of a busy retail operation.
• Drive sales, conversions, customer service and operational standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance and profitability.
• Develop colleagues through feedback, coaching and succession planning.
• Maintain high standards across merchandising, stock management and compliance.
• Take responsibility for the store in the Store Manager's absence.
