Zachary Daniels is recruiting for a Deputy Store Manager / Assistant Store Manager at Stansted Airport, a leading global travel retailer. The role focuses on supporting the Store Manager to drive sales, lead a team and deliver exceptional customer experiences in a fast-paced airport environment.

The position offers a 3 or 4-day working week with consecutive days off and every other weekend off, plus a generous salary and bonus potential.

The Role

As Deputy Store Manager, you'll support the Store Manager in driving commercial performance, developing your team and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading, coaching and motivating a team to deliver sales targets and KPIs.

• Supporting the Store Manager with the day-to-day running of a busy retail operation.

• Driving sales, conversion, customer service and operational standards.

• Identifying opportunities to improve performance and maximise profitability.

• Developing colleagues through regular feedback, coaching and succession planning.

• Maintaining high standards across merchandising, stock management and compliance.

• Taking responsibility for the store in the Store Manager's absence.

About You

We're looking for a confident, commercially minded retail leader who enjoys developing people and delivering results.

You will ideally have:

• Experience as a Deputy Manager, Assistant Store Manager, Department Manager or an established Retail Supervisor.

• A background in a fast-paced retail or customer-focused sales environment.

• A strong understanding of sales targets, KPIs and commercial performance.

• Experience leading, coaching and developing teams.

• Excellent communication skills and a hands-on leadership style.

• The flexibility to work shifts between 10am and 10pm.

Experience in airport retail isn't essential. We're keen to hear from talented retail managers across a variety of sectors.
