Job summary

Brunning and Price Pubs Ltd is hiring a Deputy Manager for The Roe Deer, Wordsley. You will lead the team, oversee busy services, plan events, and ensure a high standard of hospitality while training the bar and waiting staff.

This role offers autonomy, career progression, a basic salary up to £35,000 per year, plus tronc and an OTE bonus up to £1,500. You will also receive paid overtime, great cash tips, free meals on shift, discounts, pension, and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality supervisory or management experience.
• Strong customer service and leadership skills.
• Ability to plan and run busy service periods and events.

Responsibilities

• Lead the pub team during busy shifts and ensure smooth service.
• Train, coach and develop front-of-house staff.
• Coordinate events, promotions and beer/wine selection with the pubs team.
• Maintain high standards of guest experience and feedback handling.

About You

As Deputy Manager you'll be working alongside the Pub Manager helping to lead the team and run our busy pub. You'll be managing busy services, planning and running special events, welcoming and looking after customers as well as helping to train and lead our lovely bar/waiting team. You'll be drawing on your knowledge and experience to decide what beers, gins and wines we offer and how our events should be run. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll be at the heart of everything going on ensuring that things run smoothly.
