Career Makers Inc. in Wroxham, Norfolk, is seeking an experienced Deputy Nursing Home Manager to support the day-to-day running of a well-established care home and to uphold high standards of person-centred care.

You will lead nursing and care staff, ensure CQC compliance, and mentor the team while building strong relationships with residents and families. This is a full-time role with opportunities to drive service improvements.

Qualifications

• Deputy Manager experience in a care home.
• Strong knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory requirements.
• Experience supervising and developing care teams.

Responsabilités

• Support the Home Manager with the effective day-to-day running of the home.
• Provide leadership, guidance and support to nurses, care assistants and support staff.
• Take responsibility for the service in the Home Manager's absence when required.
• Ensure residents receive high-quality, individualised and person-centred care.
• Monitor residents' needs and ensure care plans are accurate and regularly reviewed.
• Carry out staff supervisions, appraisals and identify training and development needs.
• Support, mentor and motivate the team to maintain high standards.
• Ensure the home operates in line with CQC requirements and relevant legislation.
• Take an active role in safeguarding and ensure any concerns are identified and appropriately reported.
• Oversee safe medication practices and ensure appropriate procedures are followed.
• Build positive relationships with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals and external agencies.
• Support infection control, health and safety and regulatory compliance.
• Help create a positive, welcoming environment for residents and colleagues.

Are you an experienced Deputy Manager looking for your next opportunity within a well-established nursing and residential care setting?

We are recruiting for a confident and compassionate Deputy Care Home Manager to support the day-to-day running of a successful care home. Working closely with the Home Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining excellent standards of care, supporting and developing the staff team and ensuring residents receive truly person-centred support.

The Role

• Previous experience working as a Deputy Manager within a care home setting
• Strong knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory requirements
• Experience supervising and developing care teams
• Good understanding of safeguarding procedures

• Strong leadership and communication skills
• The ability to build excellent relationships with residents, families and healthcare professionals
• A person-centred approach with the ability to involve residents and families in care planning
• The confidence to support the Home Manager with the overall management of the service
