Job summary

Orchid Healthcare in Southampton is seeking a permanent Deputy Manager to lead nursing and care staff in an elderly/dementia care setting. You will assist the Manager to plan and implement the highest quality care for frail residents and ensure smooth running of the home.

The successful candidate must be an RGN or RMN with an NMC PIN, possess excellent communication skills, and have at least 5 years hands-on nursing experience, with prior Deputy Manager experience preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

JOB DESCRIPTION:

A permanent Deputy Manager post has become available in a reputable nursing home in Southampton that specialises in elderly care.

• Up to £60,000 per annum


• Must be RGN or RMN with NMC PIN


• Monday-Friday and on-call weekends


• CQC rating: Good


• Nursing, dementia and residential care to the elderly


• Immediate interviews

The successful Deputy Home Manager candidate will be required to assist the Manager in planning and implementing the highest quality of nursing care to the home’s frail elderly residents, some of who may suffer with dementia. You will be responsible for managing and motivating a team of nurses and carers and helping to ensure the smooth running of this reputable nursing home. Good communication skills and a passion for providing outstanding care are therefore essential.
