Job summary

Premier Healthcare in Lowestoft is seeking a Deputy Manager (Clinical) to support the Home Manager and lead the nursing and care team.

The ideal candidate will be an NMC-registered nurse with deputy management experience in a care setting, strong knowledge of CQC standards, and expertise in care planning, medication management, audits and safeguarding. You will mentor staff and drive continuous improvement toward excellent resident care.

Qualifications

• Active NMC registration is essential.
• Deputy Home Manager experience in a care/nursing home.
• Strong knowledge of CQC standards and clinical governance.
• Experience with care planning, medication management, audits and risk assessments.
• Solid understanding of adult safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Home Manager with day-to-day running of the home.
• Providing clinical leadership, guidance and support to nursing and care teams.
• Ensuring high standards of care in line with CQC requirements and company policies.
• Leading clinical audits and supporting continuous improvement.
• Reviewing care plans, risk assessments, medication and clinical documentation.
• Supporting pre-admission assessments and ongoing reviews of residents' needs.
• Mentoring, supervising and developing nurses and care staff.
• Taking responsibility for the home in the Home Manager's absence.
• Working closely with residents, families, healthcare professionals and external agencies.
• Promoting person-centred care, dignity, choice and wellbeing.

Deputy Manager (Clinical)

Location: Lowestoft, Suffolk

Salary: £52,000 per annum

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Deputy Manager (Clinical) to join a well-established nursing home in Lowestoft.

This is an excellent opportunity for an NMC Registered Nurse with previous Deputy Manager experience who is looking to take on a senior clinical leadership role and support the Home Manager with the overall running of the service.

The Role

You will work closely with the Home Manager to ensure the delivery of safe, effective and compassionate nursing care, while providing strong clinical leadership to the nursing and care teams.
