Horizon Care and Education invites applications for a Deputy Headteacher at Thornycroft SEN School in Oldham. The post leads SEN-focused education for pupils aged 5–19, with a strong emphasis on safeguarding, inclusion, and educational excellence.

You will work with the Headteacher to drive strategy, policy, and day-to-day school leadership, ensuring high standards and a nurturing environment for students and staff alike.

Qualifications

• SLT experience in a SEN environment.
• Knowledge of OFSTED expectations in SEN education.
• Safeguarding and child protection qualifications/knowledge.

Responsabilités

• Strategically oversee the school’s resources to support the achievement of educational objectives and priorities.
• Collaborate with the headteacher to articulate and implement the school’s vision among stakeholders.
• Prioritise pupil achievement, safety and well-being as the core focus of all activities.
• Foster a culture of challenge and support to empower every student to succeed.
• Articulate and uphold high expectations by setting ambitious targets for the school community.
