Job summary

Witherslack Group's Deputy Head Teacher role invites you to shape the future of The Eaves in Westbury, guiding learners with ADHD, ASD, SLCN and SEMH. You’ll work alongside the Head Teacher to set vision, recruit the right staff, and create a supportive, resourced environment where every child can thrive.

Qualifications

• Previous teaching experience with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Minimum of 2 years leadership and management experience.
• Proven drive to raise teaching and learning quality.
• Strong interpersonal skills to develop a robust staff team.
• Experience supporting DSL through a DDSL capacity.

Responsibilities

• Set the vision for the school alongside the Head Teacher.
• Lead on school improvement and implementation of plans.
• Ensure the right people and resources are in place for pupils’ progress.
• Support and develop staff to create an inclusive, effective learning environment.

Our Deputy Head Teachers are fulfilled by the idea of making even the smallest positive changes in our young people, so we celebrate the little things. This beautiful site brings together education, care and therapeutic support for our young people, providing the perfect backdrop to realise their full potential. We primarily support young people with ADHD, ASD, SLCN and SEMH and have recently been rated Good by Ofsted.
